Stockroom Inventory: ReStocker

Last updated: August 10, 2026

The short version: ReStocker keeps your data on your own device and in your private iCloud account. We don't require an account, we can't see your inventory, and we don't sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

This Privacy Policy explains how Stockroom Inventory: ReStocker ("ReStocker," "the app," "we," "us") handles information when you use the app. By using ReStocker, you agree to the practices described here.

Information You Provide

ReStocker is a personal inventory tool. The information you enter โ€” including item names, quantities, SKUs, unit costs, par/reorder levels, locations, categories, notes, expiration dates, item photos, and barcode values โ€” is created and controlled by you.

This information is stored locally on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced to your own private iCloud (CloudKit) database. It syncs only across devices signed in to your personal Apple Account. We, the developer, do not have access to this data and never receive a copy of it.

No Account Required

ReStocker does not have its own login or user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address, or password to use the app. Any syncing uses Apple's iCloud, which is tied to your existing Apple Account and governed by Apple's privacy practices.

Camera & Photos

With your permission, ReStocker uses your device camera for two things: reading barcodes and QR codes so you can add and count stock quickly, and taking photos of your items. The camera feed itself is processed entirely on your device to read codes โ€” it is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. Only a photo you actually capture is saved, and it is stored with your inventory data as described above. You can also attach a photo from your library; ReStocker receives only the image you choose and has no other access to your photos.

If you leave the optional product look-up feature on (it is on by default, and you can turn it off in Settings), the scanned barcode number may be sent to a third-party product database to retrieve generic product details such as a product name and a stock product image. That request contains only the barcode value and no personal information about you. A product image returned by the look-up may be attached to the item automatically; you can replace or remove it at any time.

Import & Export

You can import inventory from a CSV file and export your data as CSV or text using the iOS share sheet. These actions happen on your device and are initiated entirely by you. Where the exported file goes (email, Files, another app, etc.) is your choice and is handled by iOS, not by us.

Information We Do Not Collect

How Your Data Is Stored & Protected

Your inventory lives on your device and, optionally, in your private iCloud account. Data in iCloud is protected by Apple's security and encryption. You can learn more in Apple's Privacy Policy and iCloud security overview.

Data Retention & Deletion

Because your data is stored under your control, you can remove it at any time:

Children's Privacy

ReStocker is a business and productivity tool intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may also be noted in the app or its App Store release notes.
