Your Data Stays
On Your Device.

Spark collects no personal information whatsoever. There are no accounts to create, no sign-ins, and no forms asking for your name, email, or any identifying details.

The app does not track your location, and does not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.

Spark runs entirely offline. All questions, game logic, scoring, and streak tracking happen locally on your device, and we operate no servers of our own.

The one exception the app makes on its own is the in-app purchase. When you buy Standard or Pro (or the unlock, in versions before 4.0), or tap Restore Purchases, iOS contacts Apple's App Store to process and verify that purchase. That exchange is handled entirely by Apple, is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and sends us nothing about you — we never see your name, your Apple Account, or your payment details.

A few links open outside the app, and only when you tap them: Learn more under a question opens its source (for example, a Wikipedia article) in your browser, and Rate this app, Support and Privacy Policy open the App Store or this website. Those sites see an ordinary browser visit and are governed by their own privacy policies. Spark sends them nothing about you.

Spark saves your progress locally on your device using standard iOS storage:

All versions: your current streak, your best scores, how many rounds you have played, how many free rounds you have used, and which category you picked during setup.

Version 4.0 and later also save: a record of each question you answer (which question, whether you got it right, the date, and the mode you were playing), the review schedule Adaptive Practice uses to bring missed questions back, your best score in each mode, which free tries you have used, and your reminder setting and time.

None of it leaves your device, none of it identifies you, and all of it is deleted when you uninstall the app. We do not use iCloud sync or any third-party storage provider.

Your purchase is the one thing that is not stored only on your device — it is held by Apple against your Apple Account, which is what lets Restore Purchases bring it back after a reinstall or on a new device.

Version 4.0 adds optional review reminders for Adaptive Practice, part of Pro. They are off by default. If you turn them on in Settings, iOS asks your permission first, and Spark schedules the reminders on your device. Each one appears only on a day when you have reviews due.

These are local notifications: there is no push server, and nothing about you or your reviews is sent anywhere. Turn them off at any time in Spark's Settings or in iOS Settings ▸ Notifications.

Reporting a problem. In version 4.0 and later, Report a problem under a question opens your email app with a message to us that already contains the question's ID, its text and the answer shown. You see the whole email and can change it before sending, and nothing is sent unless you send it. If Mail is not set up, the details are copied for you to paste instead.

When you email us, from the app or directly, we receive your email address and what you write. We use them only to reply to you and to fix the question. We do not add you to any list, use your email for marketing, or share it with anyone.

Sharing a score. After a Speed Round or Speed Math session, Share score makes an image of your score on your device and opens the iOS share sheet. Where it goes is up to you, and nothing passes through us.

Spark contains no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting tools, no advertising networks, and no tracking frameworks. Specifically, none of the following are present in the app:

Apple may collect anonymized, aggregated App Store metrics — download counts, and crash logs if you have opted into sharing diagnostics with developers — through their standard developer program. That data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and reaches us only in aggregate, never in an individually identifiable form.

Spark is suitable for all ages and contains no adult content, no ads, and no social or messaging features. Because we collect no personal data from any user, there is no special risk to children.

The app offers optional one-time in-app purchases (Standard and Pro), which are handled by Apple and subject to whatever purchase restrictions are configured on the device. Parents can disable in-app purchases entirely in Settings ▸ Screen Time ▸ Content & Privacy Restrictions.

We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under the age of 13, and the app is built so that no such collection is technically possible.

If we ever update this privacy policy — for example, if a future version of the app adds new features — we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, note it in the App Store release notes.

We are committed to never adding data collection without being transparent about it first.
