Privacy Policy
The short version: Lean Orbit LLC does not collect, see or sell your data.
StillHead has no account, no servers of our own, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your headache diary is stored on your iPhone and synced through your own private iCloud account, which we cannot access.
What StillHead stores, and where
| Information | Where it's kept | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Your headache diary: start and end times, pain, head areas, symptoms, triggers, medications, what helped, notes, and pain-free or symptoms-only days | On your iPhone, and in your private iCloud database if iCloud is on | Only you. It's tied to your Apple Account; Lean Orbit has no access. |
| Your location (approximate) or the city or ZIP code you enter | On your iPhone only. It is not synced to iCloud. | Sent to Apple's weather and location services to look up your forecast and place name. Lean Orbit never receives it. |
| Barometric pressure readings | On your iPhone, cached for up to an hour, and stored with each headache | Only you |
| Settings (units, alert sensitivity, pain scale, reminders) | On your iPhone | Only you |
| Purchases and subscription status | Handled by Apple | Apple processes payment. We never receive your payment details. |
Location
StillHead asks for your location only to show the barometric pressure forecast where you are. Approximate location is enough, and you can decline and type a city or ZIP code instead. The coordinates are sent to Apple's WeatherKit service to get the forecast, and to Apple's geocoding service to show a place name such as "Seattle, US". StillHead does not track your location in the background and does not keep a location history.
Weather data
Pressure data comes from Apple Weather through Apple's WeatherKit service. Apple's handling of these requests is described in Apple's Privacy Policy. Weather data sources are listed at weatherkit.apple.com/legal-attribution.html.
iCloud sync
If iCloud is turned on for StillHead, your diary is stored in the private CloudKit database of your Apple Account so it can sync across your devices and come back after you reinstall. This data is protected by Apple and only accessible to you. You can turn sync off in iPhone Settings › your name › iCloud.
Notifications
Pressure-drop alerts, check-in reminders and the free-trial reminder are scheduled on your iPhone. They're optional, and you can turn them off in StillHead's Settings or in iPhone Settings › Notifications.
Widgets
The Home Screen, Lock Screen and Control Center widgets share a small amount of information with the app on your iPhone (whether a headache is in progress and when it started) so they can start and stop a headache. This never leaves your device except through your own iCloud sync.
Exports
Doctor reports (PDF) and data exports (CSV) are created on your iPhone. They go only where you choose to send them through the iOS share sheet.
