Getting started
Log a headache
On the Today tab, tap Headache started. A timer runs until you tap Headache ended. That's a complete log; everything else is optional.
Add details
Tap Add details while it's running, or open any headache from the calendar, to add pain, where it hurts, symptoms, triggers, medication and notes. Changes save as you go.
Add a past headache
Tap Add past headache on the Today tab, or + on the Calendar tab, pick the day, and tap Save.
Forgot to tap "ended"?
If a headache has been running for more than a day, the Today tab asks "Still going?". Tap Set end time, then Ended earlier, and adjust the end time.
Add the StillHead widget
Start or end a headache without opening the app. iPhone doesn't let apps add widgets for you, so add them once yourself:
Home Screen
- Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen until the apps jiggle.
- Tap Edit in the top-left corner, then Add Widget.
- Search for StillHead, choose the widget, and tap Add Widget.
Lock Screen
- Touch and hold your Lock Screen, then tap Customize › Lock Screen.
- Tap the widget area below the clock.
- Choose StillHead and pick the round or rectangular "Start headache" widget.
Control Center (iOS 18 and later)
- Swipe down from the top-right corner to open Control Center.
- Tap + in the top-left corner, then Add a Control.
- Search for Headache and add it.
Tap the widget once to start a headache and again to end it. It appears in StillHead the next time you open the app. If StillHead isn't in the widget list, restart your iPhone and try again.
Pressure & alerts
"Pressure unavailable right now"
Check that you have an internet connection, then pull down on the Pressure tab to refresh. Logging always works, even when pressure can't load.
Change your location
On the Pressure tab, tap Change. You can use your approximate location or type a city or ZIP code.
Not getting drop alerts
- Make sure Drop alerts is on in StillHead's Settings.
- If StillHead says notifications are off, tap Open Notification Settings and turn on Allow Notifications.
- Alerts are sent at most once a day, and only when pressure is set to fall by your chosen amount (Small, Medium or Large) within 12 hours. Try Small for more alerts.
- Alerts are delivered quietly, so check Notification Center. Keeping Background App Refresh on (iPhone Settings › General) helps StillHead check the forecast when the app is closed.
Doctor report & export
Open Insights and tap Report, or go to Settings › Doctor report & export. Choose 30 or 90 days, tap Create and share PDF, then send, save or print it. Export CSV gives you your full history for a spreadsheet.
iCloud & moving to a new phone
StillHead syncs your diary through your own iCloud account; there's no StillHead account to sign in to. On a new iPhone, sign in with the same Apple Account, make sure iCloud is on for StillHead (iPhone Settings › your name › iCloud), and install StillHead. Your history comes back automatically, which can take a few minutes on first launch.
Subscription & purchases
Free trial
The weekly plan starts with a 3-day free trial. StillHead sends a reminder a day before the trial ends. You're only charged if you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Cancel
Open iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions › StillHead › Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the current period.
Restore a purchase
On a new phone or after reinstalling, tap Restore at the top of the StillHead purchase screen, or Settings › Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.
Refunds
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If your subscription ends
Your diary isn't deleted. You can still export your history as a PDF or CSV from the purchase screen with Export my data.
